TVA is engaged in a multi-year project to bring a second reactor online and they are bringing in hundreds of temporary trade workers to do the work. All of these people are looking for temporary housing in the area. We are located just 9 miles from the plant, making this an ideal location. There is such a demand for housing that we’ve just converted some of our office space on the property to provide 3 additional rental rooms with shared bath, living and kitchen areas. Rooms rent for $450-$600 per month each.

Two of the bedrooms have a private bath, while the other two rooms share a bath. All of the tenants share a large living room, kitchen and laundry room. We provide DIRECTV satellite service to each room on a 26″ LCD TV, as well as in the living room on a 32″ LCD set. The rooms all rented in a matter of a week or two from the time they were placed on the market.
